Happenings....

Hi everyone - WOW!! Time flies for writing on our blog. I need to be more faithful in writing on here. Sorry again everyone. Now where do I begin.

Racing season started two weeks ago for my hubby!!! It's not the same out there with out our BEST friends Brian and Pam. But, hope to see them soon out there!! LOVE & MISS YOU GUYS!!! John was playing around and trying new things out on the car the first week made it through 1 round. That's o.k. He did GREAT though. Trying to get back into the routine and racing again being we had to quite early last year to have a baby. :) Last weekend was a busy day at the track we had a regular race for us and it was also Thunder Nationals. We ended up only running a 8th mile because of the rain and how cold the track was. John went to round two with that race. It was a late night that night. Had a GREAT time. We also did a 50 / 50 raffle out there for Brian and Pam. Thanks to everyone who helped with buying tickets - Brian and Pam appreciated it very much!!!!

Sunday was Mother's Day we went and spent some time with both Mom's on that day and also with my own family. Enjoyed spending my first Mother's Day with Karlie. I have two very special children!!! Love you Connor and Karlie!!!

Then last week was Tulip Time here in Holland. We had a BUSY week!! I dutch danced again this year. It was nice doing that again. I have been dancing since 10th grade in high school. The only time I took off from doing this was the two years of being pregnant. We also walked in the Wednesday Parade. My mom, niece Colie, Connor, Karlie and myself. Haven't done that since High School. We were saying to maybe start making this a tradation every year now that we have kids.

Otherwise the only thing we have been busy with and doing is helping our Best Friends out Brian and Pam. That family has been through a lot in the last 11 months. Both the husband and wife being sick. They just appreciate all the prayers. And THANK YOU to everyone who has and we ask to continue. They have a Long road ahead of them yet. We are here to help in any way we can Brian and Pam!! WE LOVE YOU GUYS VERY MUCH!!!

We'll I guess that is really all that is happened lately.

WOW!!! Long time.

WOW!!!! It has been 2 months since I last wrote on our blog.....sorry everyone. Time to catch up on the "DenBleyker Happenings"
Nothing big has been happening. Karlie is 6 months old. She is enjoying eatting fruits and vegs. and this week I started giving her Puffs. She loves eatting them. A nice treat. Soon we'll start some Cheerios. She was rolling over acouple months ago and then she stopped doing that. Now yesturday she rolled right across the living room. It was fun watching her - you GO GIRL!!! We changed her earrings that the doctor put in now she has "her pretty - pink ones" in. She doesn't even realize she has them in.
Connor is gaining in his eatting problem. Had some test done and everything came back good - just a VERY, VERY bad texture problem that we'll have to go through and he is gaining already. Very proud of him. So yeh he is just a busy 2 1/2 year old talking and playing with his trucks and cars. He is just ready to go and play outside. Ready for Spring in this house.
For John and I - nothing much. Been helping our friend Brian and Pam out a lot lately. That family has been through a lot in the last 9 months health wise. So we've been praying so much for them and like I said helping in every way we can. We're also ready to get outside and play with the kids and especially ready to go RACING!!!!! Racing season starts next month and goes through the end of September. So looking forward to an exciting season and hope for some wins!! We'll try our best - that's all we can say. So otherwise nothing much just enjoying every moment with our kids as we can since they grow up way to fast.

Piercing

Wednesday was Karlie's day to go and get her ears pierced. She looks so cute at 4 1/2 months old having them in her ears. (She was always cute - BUT now she just looks so grown up.) I tried to get a picture of her to put on here - but it turned out blurry. SORRY!!! She only cried for like 5 seconds she was such a BIG girl having them done. Wish they made it this easy 20 some years ago when we had them done. :) Good Job Karlie!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year from the DenBleyker's. We hope that everyone has a Good 2009!! And everyone has a HEALTHY year.

We are busy thinking about the fun things we would like to do as a family this year. Going on vacations and fun activities.

This year we will be celebrating our 5 year Anniversary.

We are also hoping to have a GREAT year in racing this summer. We're excited to hang out with all our racing friends and cheer each other on and to make it to Bracket Finals at the end of the season. (In September 2008 - US 131 made it and won first place out of 5 - 6 other race tracks. So that was an exciting end of the year event for Martin.)

And also being January 1st. We pray that God will be with our Best Friend Brian and heal his body. That family has been through a lot since August. So they are waiting to have his stomach healed, so he can go back into surgery again. We hope and pray that he heals up very soon so he can start to have a normal life and have fun with his family and friends again. This has been very hard for him not feeling good and also very hard on the family. Hope they can also enjoy the 2009 Race Season with all of us. Love you guys and praying for you to have a good and healthy 2009!!!
